The Panjwani Charitable Foundation was established in 1989 by Dr. Mohammad Hussain Panjwani. He earned his doctorate in Development Economics and was a successful businessman. He was a strong proponent of human development. Dr M. H. Panjwani passed away in 1992. His daughter, Ms Nadira Panjwani, HI, SI took over his responsibilities and continued his mission.
PCF is registered with the Directorate Trusts, Department of Industries, Government of Sindh under Sindh Assembly Act 2020 and Amended Act 2021. PCF is registered with the Federal Bureau of Revenue and certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy as a
not-for-profit organisation.
Objectives of PCF include establishing hospitals, nursing schools, shelter-homes for women, higher education and special education institutes, women empowerment, and promotion of science & technology. The PCF is serving the public without discriminating religion, race, ethnicity, cast, and colour.
The Board of Trustees consists of seven members. It meets at least twice a year. Annual accounts are audited by a firm of Internationally reputed Chartered Accountants. As per its policy decision, PCF does not solicit any public donations.
